Tianjin Symphony Orchestra celebrates 40th anniversary with concert
The Tianjin Symphony Orchestra marked its 40th anniversary recently with a special concert titled "Hehai Jinyun."

The event unfolded on the Haihe River, using bridges as its stage and music as a medium to create an immersive "scroll" of Tianjin's urban landscape.
Conductor Li Biao led the orchestra and was joined by vocalists Guan Mucun and Li Yuhu, flautist Tang Junqiao, and erhu player Wang Chuanyue.
The program blended Chinese and Western styles and traditional and contemporary works to honor the city's heritage and signal its modern ambitions.

The performance, described by organizers as "audible, visible, and explorable," paid tribute to Tianjin's riverine identity while projecting a forward-looking cultural narrative.
The concert will air on CCTV-15 in China on Monday, November 3.
