To mark the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, China Media Group (CMG) launched a series of premium TV and film programs in Macao on Sunday. Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region Sam Hou Fai, CMG president Shen Haixiong, along with other leaders jointly launched the showcase.
The documentary "Mountains and Rivers Bearing Witness" recreates the historical course from the September 18 Incident launched by Japanese militarism in 1931 to the complete victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 1945. The documentary "Hotline Beijing" highlights the experiences of citizens using the 12345 public service hotline, showcasing how Beijing addresses public complaints. Marking the 20th anniversary of China's "two mountains" concept, China has launched a major series called "Lucid Waters, Green Mountains: China's answers," spotlighting representative cities and regions across China for their practice and achievements in ecological progress. The documentary "A Golden Age as Wished" portrays the collective image of the people through the real-life stories of six young people in different sectors, "Blue Planet Outside the Window," China's first space documentary, chronicles the Shenzhou-13 mission featuring China's first six-month manned space station stay and the first spacewalk by a Chinese female astronaut. The documentary "Meet the Chinese Characters" guides audiences to touch the roots of civilization and trace the spiritual homeland embedded in the wisdom of Chinese character creation.
A documentary presents the full process of China's V-Day military parade. Another tells stories of strivers from different regions and professions who pursue their dreams with passion and courage. The last documentary explores industrial heritage sites such as the 816 Underground Nuclear Project, recording China's industrial development and highlighting the unique charm of its industrial culture.
CMG's premium TV and film programs will be screened at the Love the Country, Love Macao Educational Base for the Youth starting September 29, while "Blue Planet Outside the Window" began showing in major theaters across Macao on September 28.
