The Chinese wartime film "Dead to Rights" has left a profound impression on audiences in North America through its harrowing portrayal of sacrifice, historical truth, and its poignant call for remembrance and peace.

Set in Nanjing in 1937, the film follows a group of ordinary people who risk their lives to protect rolls of film containing evidence of Japanese atrocities, determined to reveal the truth to the outside world.

"Dead to Rights" premiered in the United States and Canada earlier this month and will officially open in major theaters across both countries on August 15.
