The historical drama "731," directed by Zhao Linshan, is set to hit theaters on September 18 to raise awareness of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Told from the perspective of ordinary civilians, the film sheds light on the harrowing war crimes committed by Japan's notorious Unit 731 in Harbin during World War II. Under the guise of "water supply and epidemic prevention," the unit conducted secret biological weapons research and carried out horrific human experiments on captured civilians and resistance fighters. The film "731" aims to confront this dark chapter of history through the eyes of its victims, ensuring their stories are not forgotten.
