Chinese cultural exhibitions open in Turkmenistan
The opening ceremony for a cultural exchange initiative took place in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan on Tuesday. The event marked the debut of two major exhibitions: "Galloping Steeds – 2025 Chinese Horse Culture Exhibition" and "Chinese White – The Art of Dehua White Porcelain Exhibition."
The first show features more than 150 exhibits, including saddles, horse-themed photography, calligraphy, paintings, sculptures, fur art, and paper cuttings. Together, these pieces illustrate the diversity and depth of Chinese equestrian traditions.
Equally captivating is the Dehua porcelain exhibition, which showcases over 40 pieces of modern white porcelain. This display also incorporates horse-themed porcelain to symbolize the cultural respect and artistic kinship between the two countries.
To mark the occasion, members of the Chinese and Turkmenistani institutions exchanged gifts, including a collection of Magtymguly's poetry translated into Chinese, exquisite porcelain items, and other artworks.
The exhibitions will remain open until early July, offering visitors a rare opportunity to explore the cultural intersections of China and Turkmenistan.
