Mr. LI Yi was born with Han nationality in Qu County of Sichuan Province in February 1960. He started his career in September 1977 with a postgraduate degree from Department of Trade and Economy at China Academy of Social Sciences. 

Currently Mr. LI Yi is vice president and Chair of Executive Committee of CFLAC, a standing member of the National Committee of the 12th National People’s Congress of China and a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
