China Today Arts Week (CTAW) is an annual non-profit event launched by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) to showcase contemporary Chinese arts and culture to international audiences. Its mission is to deepen global understanding of China's latest artistic creations, share the charm and achievements of Chinese arts and culture with the world, as well as foster mutual understanding and friendship among artists and audiences from different countries.
CTAW features 11 art genres, including theatre, film, fine arts, music, Chinese quyi (traditional storytelling and performance), dance, folk arts, photography, calligraphy, acrobatics and TV art. Since its inception in 2004, CTAW has been held in diverse countries such as Canada, Greece, Australia, Austria, Japan, Egypt, Chile, Sweden, the United States, Cambodia, Thailand, Monaco, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Mauritius, France (Réunion Island), India, Russia, Panama, Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia. The event has consistently earned widespread acclaim, facilitating meaningful and effective cultural exchanges in each host country.
