The 10th Asia Microfilm Art Festival closed in Lincang, Yunnan province, with its annual gala on Nov 26.
Representatives and experts of film and cultural organizations, including Zhao Huayong, honorary president of China Television Artists Association, and Yao Yonghui, general manager of China Central Newsreel and Documentary Film Studio (Group), joined the gala and presented certificates to award winners.
Eight awards were given out at the gala, including the most popular performer award received by Lyu Wei. Yu Xiaoguang was presented with the best actor award, while Hu Caihong and Tao Huimin were given the best actress awards.

The gala also unveiled the honors and their recipients in the microfilm festival's 10 themed units and three industry units.
This year's festival received 2,874 submissions from more than 100 organizations and individuals covering 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. More than 840 works were presented with awards, including 158 best works, 307 excellent works and 383 good works.
Since 2013, the microfilm art festival has been hosted annually in Lincang. This year, the festival invited more than 1,000 guests from home and abroad for events spanning three days, such as the gala and the opening ceremony, field trips, lectures and news conferences.
