Good day,

I would like to extend my cordial greetings to all participants of the 2021 China Today Arts Week.

Mexico's Primera Plana Club  has a 62 year history. This makes it my country's  oldest media organization.

It is a great pleasure to collaborate with the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

This year is the 10th consecutive time the Federation has held this important event.

I believe this truly shows the Federation's firm determination to consolidate cultural and artistic exchanges between China and other countries.

As such, in my capacity as president of the Primera Plana Club, I am pleased to congratulate the Federation’s International Liaison Department,

for making the 2021 edition of the arts week a reality.

I'd also like to congratulate them on their success with this opening ceremony

as it truly showcases the broad spectrum of culture and art produced by a large nation like China.

By observing the activities in this year's China Today Arts Week,

including the showing of Chinese short films,

the exhibition of Qing Dynasty ceramics,

and exhibitions of photography, written poetry and books.

  Seeing the event's promotional film

brought back memories of our travels to Xinjiang and the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.

It should be noted that the Primera Plana Club,

  as I pointed out earlier,

has been doing exchanges with the All-China Journalists Association for 42 years now.

This relationship has provided opportunities to both countries' members of the press,

allowed us to mutually learn the cultures and traditions of each other's countries,

allowed us to closely examine China's history and current development,

and witnessed the remarkable progress China has made since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
